As part of the Alsop High School centenary, the school has encouraged former Alsopians, to visit the school, to share their skills and motivate students.
Former student Will Green returned to share his career pathway to young people during their catering lessons.
Will told students his passion for catering, was nurtured during catering lessons at Alsop. He was also delighted to be reunited with his former class teacher, Mrs Janette Williams.
Alsop High School provided a springboard to his career pathway. After school Will continued his further education and he now works at Liverpool Football Club, where he can be found preparing food for players families and their friends in the executive boxes.
During 2020, Will is moving to the Lake District where he will be preparing food in a Michelin star restaurant.
Mrs Tara Powell, head of food technology said: “Students really engaged with Will. It was a great pleasure to see a former student share his skills with young people. Will put a lot of work into preparing his presentation session.”
Mrs Janette Williams said: “We are most grateful Will gave freely of his time to visit us today. We so proud that Alsop gave Will the support and encouragement to pursue his passion for cooking.”
