Vote for your favourite dot-art Schools entry

dot-art Schools is inviting people to vote for their favourite artwork by young artists (Year 5 and Year 9) from schools across the Liverpool City Region from April.

The Liverpool-based inter-school art competition provides hundreds of children in the Liverpool City Region with the opportunity to develop their artistic side, have their skills recognised and envision a future career in the arts.

Schools first signed up to participate in the competition. Entries opened in July 2022, and schools had until the end of December to register.

Each participating school then submitted photographs of students’ artwork. This had to be done by February half term 2023. Competition entries are added to the school’s portfolio page on the dot-art Schools website. Up to 25 pieces of student artwork can be submitted by each school.

A judging panel of respected arts professionals shortlist the top three entries from each school. The public will have the chance to vote for their favourite shortlisted artwork online.

To vote, visit the website, browse the schools’ entries, then click on the ‘VOTE NOW’ button under the artwork you wish to vote for. Voters will be prompted to confirm their vote by email to ensure it is counted.

The entry with the most votes from each school wins a place in the 11th annual dot-art Schools exhibition, which is being held at The Walker Art Gallery in June.

Voting is open from Monday 3 April to Monday 1 May 2023.
