Top 5 family board games

Whilst it has been an unusual week for many of us, we can’t deny that the bright sunshine has made things a little easier and lifted many of our spirits. Self-isolation can be a testing time for families, so it is important to find new things to play together, for example, board games!

Scrabble 

An oldie but a goody! Scrabble is one of those classic board games that you can never tire of. Many think it’s a game for those with a broad vocabulary but in essence it is all about getting a high score so it is ideal for most ages. 

Pay Day 

Gather the family together to play this iconic game of handling finances. Pay Day comes at the end of the month, and to make it there without going broke, players will have to manage their money wisely. Earn cash, find bargains, sell items for a profit, and be the player with the most cash in the end to win the game. 

Pictionary  

Pictionary is a fun game where you let the pencil do the talking. You and your team try to guess words by sketching clues to each other. 

It could be a place, a person, something you do, something easy, something hard! It’s a race against the clock. 

Articulate for kids 

Articulate is a well-known description game that can now be played by kids as young as 6 and as old as 12. 

Played in teams, the idea is to describe as many card entries as possible to your teammates in 30 seconds without giving “begins with” or “sounds like” clues.  

Connect Four  

Connect Four is a popular two-player game in which the players first choose a colour and then take turns dropping one coloured disc into the grid. The simple objective of the game is to be the first to form a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal line of four of one’s own discs.
