Teachers attend King’s Warrington for leading education event

Over 300 teachers, schools and academy leaders from across the UK attended King’s Leadership Academy Warrington for a one-day conference to share knowledge and experience about the latest best practices in education.

Leading academics and educationalists spoke at the prestigious researchED event in a full day of 40 sessions addressing topical issues affecting multi-academy trusts, schools, teachers and pupils.

Demand to attend the event saw it sell-out so many of the sessions were also made available online and a further 100 people took the opportunity to attend virtually.

researchED events take place around the world. Being selected to be a host is recognition of the Great Schools Trust and its King’s Leadership Academies’ reputation for defining and setting standards of excellence whilst maintaining the highest expectations for student achievement within its academies.

The event was arranged by Mike Chiles and Sarah Vernon, both senior teachers at King’s Leadership Academy Warrington.

Mike said: “researchED events present the very best thinking and approaches in education which is why the event became a sell-out with people travelling from all over the UK. The ability to put many sessions online meant we could allow over 400 to attend either in person or virtually.

“As such a prestigious event being asked to host an event is recognition of our achievements in academic standards here at King’s Warrington as well as within the Great Schools Trust.
