St Michael’s celebrate successful year

St Michael’s Church of England High School students are celebrating another great set of results with more students than ever gaining higher grade 5+ GCSEs:

Elizabeth Hearfield achieved 2 grade 9s, 4 grade 8s & 2 grade 7s
Susan Lomax gained 2 grade 9s, 4 grade 8s, 4 grade 7s a& a Dist*
Mathew Roscoe gained 2 grade 9s, 3 grade 8s, 4 grade 7s
Sian Heyes gained 3 grade 9s plus 2 grade 8s and 2 Dist*
Kathryn Larkin gained 4 grade 8s and 4 grade 7s

Headteacher Dr S J Hulme, said: “Many congratulations to all our students who have today gained their reward for years of dedication to their education. These grades will provide the right platform for them to move onto the next exciting phase of their learning journey.

“I would like to also pay tribute to our staff and parents who have, as always, supported the young people in every possible way to enable them to achieve their true potential. Well done to all”.
