St John Plessington celebrate A-level & BTEC results

Sixth form students from St John Plessington Catholic College in Bebington collected their A-level and BTEC results alongside their friends and family this morning.

After a challenging two years of learning during a global pandemic, the students were relieved to open their results and see the great payoff of their hard work and efforts.

St John Plessington students are now preparing to take their next step and go on to achieve further success at university, in an apprenticeship or the world of work.

95% of students secured a destination of their choice, with some going to the University of Liverpool to study medicine, Queen Mary University of London to study languages, Durham University to study economics, Edge Hill University to study child nursing and engineering at Nestlé.

Headteacher, Ms Maria Sharratt, said: “At St John Plessington Catholic College, part of our mission and ethos is to encourage students to reach their full potential, to ensure that they can have choice filled lives and are equipped to make positive contributions to their communities.

“I am pleased to say that our sixth form students have achieved that and more and we are proud of each and every one of them.”

Ms Sharratt added: “The grades that our students have received are excellent, they pushed through the boundaries put in place due to the pandemic and performed exceptionally.

“I wish them good luck and success for what is to come, whether that be employment, apprenticeship or university degree.”
