Smiles at St John Plessington Catholic College for GCSE results day

It was a morning of joy for Year 11 students at St John Plessington Catholic College, Bebington, today (Thursday, 22 August) as they collected their all-important GCSE results.

Students were filled with excitement as they returned to school, welcomed by senior leaders, to receive their long-awaited results.

Following their GCSEs, students will be moving on to further education, studying for A-levels and BTECs, with many Year 11s choosing to remain at St John Plessington to continue their studies at the sixth form.

One student is delighted to have secured their place in St John Plessington’s sixth form. Liz said: “I was very nervous, but I was confident as I knew I worked hard, and my teachers and parents were very supportive.

“I am very excited to return to St John Plessington sixth form to complete my A-levels to support me on my journey to becoming an accountant.”

Mr Peadar McLoughlin, headteacher at St John Plessington Catholic College, said: “It has been a fantastic morning here at St John Plessington celebrating the incredible achievements of our Year 11 students.

“During their time here, they have each demonstrated so much dedication and passion to their studies. We are so proud of them; they are a real credit to our school and the Holy Family Multi Academy Trust.

“A massive congratulations to all our students who collected their results today. We look forward to welcoming many of you back in September as part of our sixth form.”

The Bebington-based school is part of the Holy Family Catholic Multi Academy Trust, which has seven schools across Wirral and Cheshire.
