Rainford High to spread festive cheer
Rainford High is getting into the festive spirit ahead of its annual Christmas Fayre this Thursday (5 December).
The evening looks to raise funds for a number of local charities and as part of the fundraising, the school’s special educational needs and disability (SEND) students have been busy carefully wrapping selection boxes ready for the children’s ward at Ormskirk Hospital.
In addition, a number of toys will be donated by the school’s families and friends for the hospital.
Rainford High is also taking in food donations for St Helens Foodbank which will be given to those in need before the end of term.
On Thursday evening, there will be a range of food and drink on offer, including an old converted horse box bar which will be located at the entrance to school.
There will also be traders selling festive goods, Christmas presents and treats. Topping off the evening will be performances by singers, the school band and dancers.
The Christmas Fayre will be open to all members of the local community from 5pm until 7.30pm, with an autism friendly half hour from 4:30pm until 5pm.
