Rainford High students clinch bronze medals at squash National Schools Championships
Four students from Rainford High recently produced a remarkable feat in the squash world by securing bronze medals at the National Schools Championships finals.
Autumn, Jake, Mia and Noah battled through two gruelling qualifying rounds at local and regional levels to reach the national finals held at the prestigious Edgbaston Priory Squash Club.
The students were up against fierce competition in the key stage five mixed finals, including some of the biggest independent schools in the country such as Epsom College and Millfield School in Somerset.
Despite being the youngest team in the competition, as students Autumn and Preston are both in Year 8, they were not intimidated by the older students who were taking part.
