Rainford High appoints four apprentices

Rainford High has welcomed four budding apprentices to its team of teaching and non-teaching support staff.

Megan Tinsley, Natasha Smith and Rebecca Scott have all taken on teaching assistant apprenticeships, whilst former Rainford High student, Ellie Killa, has joined the administration team to complete an apprenticeship in business administration.

Over the years, the school’s apprenticeship programme has been a great success, with many teaching assistants and administrators moving on to full-time roles at Rainford High.

The apprenticeships offer individuals a great way of gaining on-the-job skills, knowledge and experience, whilst also studying for a qualification.

They are also open to anyone over the age of 16 and aren’t just for school leavers. An example of this is, Joanne Lowe, who was formerly an adult administrative apprentice and has taken on a permanent attendance and administrative role at the school.

Director of Business and Finance at Rainford High, Alexandra Marsh, said: “We are delighted to welcome four new apprentices to Rainford High’s very stable staff body.

“Our well-established apprenticeship programme has been incredibly successful with many now in full-time positions here at the school. Their roles are very beneficial to the day-to-day running of Rainford High and we look forward to supporting their career growth.”
