Professor Brian Cox helps kids to learn about SPACE
World-renowned physicist Professor Brian Cox will make his BBC Bitesize Daily debut today.
Brian features in Bitesize Daily Secondary 11-12 year-olds at 10am on BBC iPlayer and Red Button, where he’ll demonstrate from his own home, forces and how they work.
From 10.20am, he will be helping to educate 12-13 year-olds in Bitesize Daily Secondary on all things space, the solar system, planets, comets and answering the question of what is the solar system.
Brian Cox said: “I’m delighted to be part of BBC Bitesize Daily and to have the opportunity to teach a bit of physics to children across the UK. Science is a vital part of education at all levels because it teaches us how to think carefully and accumulate reliable knowledge about Nature.
“By Nature, I mean the physical world; from atoms to galaxies, from Blue Whales to viruses and everything in between. What could be more important than that?”
More than 150 lessons are being provided every week through Bitesize Daily, to help support parents and children who are home schooling while schools are closed. Created to ensure that kids across the UK have access to curriculum-supported learning, Bitesize Daily has been developed with trusted education providers, teachers and partners.
