Our Lady Immaculate celebrate Sport Relief

Sport Relief is back for 2016 with even more people walking, running, swimming or cycling to show their support.

Schools across the city are gearing up for another action-packed day of sport today, all in the hope of raising funds for disadvantaged people throughout the UK and beyond.

Our Lady Immaculate Primary School in Everton will be dedicating the whole day to an array of challenging activities. Pupils from Years 3-6 will be swimming as far as possible at Everton Park Sports Centre, whilst each class will be completing a sport relief mile in Everton Park.

There will also be aerobic circuit training sessions throughout the day, as well as lunch time challenges run by lunchtime staff. Children will be gaining sponsorship from friends and families to raise as much money as possible for Sport Relief.

Rob Garth, PE Coordinator, says: “Students and teachers at Our Lady Immaculate Primary School love taking part in Sport Relief. It’s an excellent way to bring staff, students and the community together to get active, have fun and raise money for a great cause!

“We also hope that some of our pupils and families will take part in the Sport Relief mile at Newsham Park, on Sunday 20th March.”
