Maricourt Sixth Form Centre celebrate Level 3 results
This morning, there was joy in the air at Maricourt Sixth Form Centre in Liverpool when students opened their Level 3 results.
Many had confirmed university applications and will soon be spread all over the country to study for their degrees.
Academic and vocation results of some subjects were A* and A grades.
Phoebe Scott Scart achieved three A* grades, while Finn Boylan got an A* and 2 A’s. Phoebe Kehoe gained 2 A*’s and an A.
Meanwhile, in her vocational subject, Olivia Ching was happy with her 2 distinction*’s and a A*.
The school said they are extremely proud of this year group after the difficulties of lockdown and studying at home for large portions of their KS4 and KS5 studies.
The nervousness from students opening the envelope of their Level 3 results soon turned into tears of joy.
Students excitedly talked about moving away, studying for degrees, and working at higher level apprenticeships. All are looking forward to starting the next chapter in their educational journey.
Mr Halliday, head of Maricourt Sixth Form, said: “They are a truly remarkable group of young people, and we wish them all the best in their new adventures; we can’t wait for them to come back and visit.”
