Maricourt Catholic High School welcomes new headteacher

Maricourt Catholic High School, Maghull has appointed Joe Mangan as headteacher, taking up his position in September 2019. Joe is only the second lay headteacher in the history of this Sisters of Mercy school.
Joe said “The school has a tradition of providing a high-quality Catholic education based on the charism of the Sisters of Mercy.
It is an absolute privilege to have the opportunity to build on the outstanding work of the previous headteachers. We want to ensure that our mission statement is at the core of everything we do. Our founder, Catherine McAuley, said that we must “resolve to be good today, but better tomorrow” and that constant self-reflection and drive for improvement is what we are all focused on.”
