King David students achieve success

Analysis of the Year 13 results at King David indicate that 54% of grades awarded are at A*-B level, and 30% of grades were A*-A.  King David is extremely pleased that 85% of its students achieved the grades to gain places at their first-choice university. This cohort of students has not only shown great resilience and pragmatism, but also exemplary team spirit.

This cohort were in Year 9 at the start of the Covid-19 Pandemic and experienced significant disruption to their education in Year 10 and Year 11.  However, through these results, they have demonstrated their resilience, performing well in externally assessed A level and BTEC exams.

There are many impressive individual achievements with a few students achieving A* grades across all subjects. Liam and Finn will take their places at the University of Sheffield to study Mechanical Engineering and Engineering respectively, while Brendan will be taking Chemistry at the University of Manchester.

Some students have elected to travel further afield with Isla studying for a PWC supported degree in Business, Accounting and Finance at Newcastle University.  Alp will be taking Business at the University of Exeter and Eva is joining Norland College in Bath to study Early Childhood Education and Care. Louisa will take her place to study History and Politics at Cardiff University.

During their time at King David the students have not only developed academically, but also personally, as individuals. The students have contributed a great deal to the life of the school and local community, demonstrating great initiative, teamwork and leadership skills. King David wishes all of the students well in the future.
