Film Fest for schools

Liverpool schools recently took part in an exciting red carpet film festival at the Liverpool John Moores University.

LitFilmFest have partnered with a local consultancy and Liverpool John Moores University to work with schools across the city to bring digital and literacy skills together. Pupils had to write and produce their own films in English lessons before enjoying a film premiere of their finished projects at Liverpool John Moores University.

By using resources from LitFilmFest, schools could choose from a range of projects such as; Lioness Lunch, Why I Play, Pupil Prime Minister and TeamTap to create their final film.

Tim Miles, educational cinematographer at LitFilmFest: “What a fabulous film festival it was. The kids were buzzing seeing their hard work on the screen. It makes it all worthwhile to help their voices to be heard, and they did it so eloquently.

“Who wouldn’t want to work with their friends at school on a video to be shown at the cinema? Liverpool really does have some very innovative teachers, which should stand the future generations in good stead”.
