CPMM Media Group applauds the communication of schools and colleges

Since lockdown began, schools and colleges have gone above and beyond to reach out to students and families during these uncertain times.

CPMM Media Group, sponsors of The Communication Award at the Educate Awards, is commending the communication channels kept opened by teachers and non-teaching staff ensuring they have been in regular contact with pupils or students.

Through the use of social media, email, phone and video calls, it has been possible for schools and colleges to creatively reach students during this time of need whether it is in regards to schoolwork or simply checking in to see how they are feeling.

Parents and guardians have also been encouraged to keep in touch with their children’s teachers and have been on hand to offer advice on home-schooling.

It has been great to see alternative, and somewhat traditional, ways of communication have been adopted during lockdown, for example, schools sending personalised postcards to pupils in the post, letting them know they are sorely missed by teachers and staff.

Kim O’Brien, director of CPMM Media Group, said: “We’re passionate about communications at CPMM Media Group and so it has been wonderful to see schools and colleges using new and traditional methods in order to keep in touch with their school community.

“As sponsors of The Communication Award, we are encouraging those that have implemented creative approaches, as well as evidence of high engagement, to think about entering this particular category this year. It would be great to know what schools have been up to across the North West in order to stay connected!”

CPMM Media Group is proud to work with a number of schools and academy trusts across the region, delivering successful strategic communication solutions, which includes managing media relations, copywriting and designing prospectuses, internal and external signage, and creating digital and print advertising artwork.

The company has also been at the forefront of publishing for over 50 years, successfully producing niche titles across the region.
