A taste of India

Broadgreen International School prides itself on its international partnerships and has had strong links with a number of schools in India for over five years. One in particular is St Thomas High School in Kallara Kerala. Their sixth form students were treated to a rapturous welcome, they delivered a range of interactive sessions with the children, participated in a football match and a game of tug of war. The students from St Thomas entertained them with a brilliant dance display and a musical ensemble.

The two week trip was action packed. Activities included, elephant rides, visiting a tea plantation, sailing on a house boat and meeting the First Minister of Kerala. They returned enlightened, enriched but greatly humbled by the spirit and hospitality shown to them by all who they met in Kerala.
