A Royal surprise!
A Liverpool Primary school received a royal surprise from Kensington Palace after sending letters of congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
The year 1 and 2 class at St Aloysius Catholic Primary school, in Huyton, were excited to hear the news of Princess Charlotte’s birth and decided to write letters of congratulations to the royal couple.
The class sent the letters to Kensington Palace weeks ago and have been eagerly waiting for a reply ever since.
Yesterday, the class were overjoyed to receive a reply. The school received packages from Kensington Palace thanking the children for their letters and each received an individual envelope with a special keepsake photograph inside and a printed thank you message on the back.
Ashley Harrison, who teaches at the school says: “The children were delighted to receive a response and it was a really magical moment in class.
“The children couldn’t believe that the Duke and Duchess had replied and when I read their letter out there was a real sense of awe and wonder. It was a fantastic experience and something I hope they treasure forever.”
