Kids go free all half term at Knowsley Safari for hauntingly fun Halloween event

Knowsley Safari’s foot safari will be transformed into a pumpkin-themed adventure, with just the right amount of spookiness for the whole family to enjoy, between Wednesday 23 and Thursday 31 October 2024 (Halloween). One child goes free with each full paying adult for the whole of half term.

Between 11am and 4pm each day, families can enjoy a fun-packed pumpkin patch treasure hunt, a haunted garden walk, as well as pumpkin-themed photo opportunities to ensure all those screamingly great memories are captured forever. Fangtastic facepainting is also available for an additional charge.

The pumpkin patch treasure hunt is designed for children under 12 years old, where they will receive a Halloween-themed map to navigate their way past friendly ghosts, spooky scarecrows, giant spiders and hundreds of pumpkins, before seeking out a mysterious character for a Halloween treat.

Guests can also get into the spooky spirit by enjoying the amusement rides and attractions, plus plenty of refreshments will be available in Oasis Restaurant and the outdoor food court.

Richard Smith, head of visitor operations at Knowsley Safari, said: “Halloween is one of the most exciting times of the year, a chance for the whole family to take part in some ghoulishly fun activities.

“This year, our Pumpkin Safari Spooktacular is designed to ensure maximum spookiness and fun, as well as great value, with all activities included with the general admission tickets and the kids go free offer runs each day from 23 until 31 October.”

In addition to the fun on the foot safari, also home to Andean bears, giraffes, mischievous meerkats and red river hogs, visitors can buckle up and head onto the UK’s longest safari drive, where they will be welcomed by Bactrian camels, southern white rhino, baboons, African lions and many other fantastic animal species.

A day out at Knowsley Safari can be made even more interactive by downloading the free safari app, which helps guests to plan their day, enjoy lots of interesting and fun animal facts during the five-mile route, as well as providing interactive visitor maps to make sure nothing is missed.

The Pumpkin Safari Spooktacular is included with a paid admission ticket, with one child, aged up to 15 years old, free per full paying adult. Tickets start from £22.50 for adults if booking online at least one day in advance. For more details, go to the safari’s website here.
