World leading company backs the Educate Awards
World-leading Industrial Gases company Air Products is the latest organisation to support this year’s Educate Awards.
The company, with approximately 1500 employees in the UK and Ireland, touches the lives of consumers in positive ways every day.
Its engineering excellence covers large process plants through to niche innovations; and its products include everything from welding and fabrication, food and beverage, health and personal care to energy, transportation and new technologies.
It strives to be a company of choice, one that cares about the community where it operates and succeeds as a result of its diverse workforce.
Sponsoring the Career Aspiration Award, Air Products is passionate about learning. Its STEM strategy helps to address the nation’s skill shortage by engaging and working with schools and colleges in the community to inspire the next generation of engineers and scientists.
On joining the Educate Awards, Lynn Willacy at Air Products, says: “It’s really important that we make young people aware of the career opportunities within STEM subjects, and inspire them to become great scientists and engineers of the future. With this in mind, we are excited to join forces with the Educate Awards to recognise schools which are promoting different career pathways and inspiring the next generation!”
“Our liquid nitrogen demonstrations are part of our science ambassador programme which currently extends to schools, colleges and universities, and helps to educate students on the importance of gas in everyday life.”
Kim O’Brien, founder of the Educate Awards and executive editor of Educate Magazine, adds: “We’re delighted to welcome Air Products to the Educate Awards as our Career Aspiration sponsor. This category always attracts inspiring career initiatives and this year we expect no less. We’re looking forward to seeing which school wins the Air Products Career Aspiration Award in November!”
Air Products is the latest company to join the 14 other sponsors which have already signed up this year, including Copyrite Systems and Ricoh UK as title sponsors.
Copyrite Systems and Ricoh UK are two of the UK’s most innovative companies which are passionate about collaboration, technology and communication.
Earlier this month, multi-award winning consultancy Hi-Impact joined the awards as the Innovation in Education sponsor.
