Jumping for Ebola
Children at Bishop David Sheppard CE Primary School in Southport were bouncing for a good cause recently.
Mrs Karen Murphy, headteacher said: “As part of a cluster of schools in Sefton we are working to support a link school in Sierra Leone which has been badly hit by the Ebola crisis.
“The children there have pleaded for supplies of rubber gloves, soap, bleach and other items to help prevent the spread of this terrible disease.
“We arranged for a sponsored bounce and raised an amazing £830.65, thanks to the support of our children and families. The children thoroughly enjoyed raising money for this good cause.
“All the money raised will go towards the purchase of these essential materials to prevent further spread of Ebola”.
